Dallas Parochial League
The DPL serves as the official athletic league of the Diocese. The DPL offers athletic leagues and events throughout the year for its 29 member schools. The DPL currently offers 12 sports for student participation. Some sports are structured as leagues with postseason playoffs, while others are in the form of meets or tournaments. It is our sincere hope that athletics can provide a positive extra-curricular mechanism helping bring our larger community together in the spirit of friendly competition.
Mission Statement of The Dallas Parochial League
The Mission of the Dallas Parochial League is to promote athletic opportunities that encourage and facilitate maximum participation among all 5th through 8th grade students at our member schools. The league is designed to provide fair and challenging competition, which in turn, will provide each athlete and coach an opportunity to exhibit sportsmanship that will best represent God, family, school and self. Furthermore, it is the goal of the Dallas Parochial League that no student-athlete be denied the opportunity to play, provided that he or she is physically capable, due to ability or financial circumstances.
Our Reach
The Dallas Parochial League serves 29 schools, including over 6,000 student-athletes. The league's footprint spans over 115 miles from Sherman to Corsicana, covering Catholic schools in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas.
